About Us

The Saskatchewan Research Council (SRC) is Canada’s second largest research and technology organization. SRC focuses its efforts on the mining, minerals, agriculture and energy sectors, and the environmental considerations that are important across each sector.

With nearly 350 employees, $232 million in annual revenue and over 75 years of RD&D experience, SRC works with 1,600 clients in 22 countries around the world.

SRC’s 2022-23 annual economic impact assessment shows that last year:
• We achieved more than $930 million in direct economic benefit to Saskatchewan.
• Our work created or maintained over $89 million worth of jobs.
• For every dollar invested in SRC by the provincial government, a 46-times return was achieved.

Home to several state-of-the-art laboratories, SRC offers reliable, professional commercial laboratory services. We also have dedicated labs that focus on contract RD&D, as well as pilot plants that offer clients the opportunity to test technologies. By investing in new technologies and world-class researchers, we continue to expand our capabilities, moving SRC to the forefront of RD&D and meeting the growing needs of
industry.
